What A Joy To Find This Site

How wonderful it is to see how passionate people across the globe are about their yoga practice and sharing their joy with others. Sincerest thanks to those who put this site together and continue to keep it alive.

My name’s Mukunda. I’m a 36 year old novice currently in Mysore studying astanga yoga philosophy and pranayama. I’ll be returning to my home in Hawaii in just a few week. Look forward to corresponding with each of you.

Welcome to this forum.

Hello Mukunda!

Hello Mukunda and welcome to the forum! You share your name with my teacher, and the man for whom this site was created, Mukunda Stiles. Mukunda was named by his teacher, Swami Muktananda of Ganeshpuri. To share a little bit about YogaForums.com with you, the forum was created in 2002 for Mukunda, by his student Chandra as way to share his Spiritual mentoring, to teach about Structural Yoga Therapy and to connect his students from around the globe. It was sold in 2006 to a private business owner, after it became too large of a project for Chandra to maintain. The domain and the forum contents were sold again in October 2008 to David, the current owner.

Although Mukunda rarely logs onto the site these days, you can still find his threads and posts deeper in the pages of the forum. Look for them because they are the real jewel of this site.

Again, welcome and thanks for introducing yourself. Enjoy the rest of your time in India–what a time to be in Mysore with the very recent passing of S.K. Pattabi Jois. He was a gift to the study and transmission of Yoga.

Namaste,
Nichole

Welcome Mukunda! I look forward to sharing this journey with you.
