Hi, I recently did a 30 day yoga challenge having done no yoga previously. The workouts were short, rarely over 25 mins and if the poses become too challenging I’d just wait til one in my range came along.
I never had any problems during the 30 day challenge, however a couple of days after finishing it I’ve found my hips, especially my left hip have been hurting. I’ve done some reading and apparently yoga can cause hip injuries in hyper mobile people however I’m the opposite of hypermobile, I can’t even touch my toes with my legs straight.
My knees and hips were definitely the areas that were made most uncomfortable during the challenge, sitting cross legged wasn’t comfortable on day one.
Will this go away with rest or will going back to daily yoga help more?
PS I’m in my early 20’s so it’s not as if my hips are just giving up on me naturally
