So I’ve gotten to the point where I can get down pretty much all the way into a front split on one side. But in order to be able to do that, I have to warm up (like a mile run or elliptical for about 15 minutes) then about 30 minutes or more of stretching toward the split. Is there a way for me to train to do the split without this much warmup? Is this something most or some people experience?
How about a Hot Yoga class.
I like to take a hot bath, what I notice is I can get my head to knees in the tub but not quite in Hot Yoga class. Maybe take a hot bath then try.
