So I have been doing yoga for a short time and really love getting reconnected with my body.
I am terribly inflexible so working on things like touching my toes etc. Outside of class.
One thing that I am noticing is a sort of weak feeling in my lower back after I hold he touching toes position for a length of time. Sort of a very weak and unstable feeling. This is the same for sitting or standing.
It usually doesn’t last long but when I am shifting from holding my toes to the plank, I have to brace my core quite tightly to compensate for the ‘looseness’ in my back.
I have spoke to my teacher about this and she assures me it is normal.
Not that I and doubting her, but I would like to know if other experience the same feeling.
Is it a general weakness in my lower back being exposed when I stretch the latent tension out of my muscles? Or am I stretching too much?
