What I learned

Thank you

and yes, that did make sense and gave me something to think about too

Just popped buy to answer a post I saw that I started…and I see the site has changed a bit.

I have been away but in the interim I learned something else I learned, I have been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis in my right hip and it is beginning to interfere with yoga. I am now going to acupuncture to see if it can relieve things enough to allow me to keep training yoga and martial arts yoga and martial arts. As for yoga it actually hurts to do Balasana, Janu Sirsasana, Baddha Konasana as well as many uther poses that involve the right hip.

You can try some supplements, with demonstrated good results:

  1. Vital3

  2. Pycnogenol

Thank you I shall look into those

Don’t forget your glucosamine!

Acupuncture/B12 shot at a specific point on my hip seems to be helping. I was able to do a hip opening series the other day with no pain and only a little stiffness.

Oh and while I was away I turned 50

It is good to practice asanas regularly, but yoga is definitely more than that, or else Patanjali would have wrote more than 1 yogastura, out of 1000, about the asanas (yoga postures).

Happy fiftieth birthday! Glad you are back!

I learned something else and I am betting this will come as no surprise to many here.

Yoga is more than postures, although I have, up to now, only really been looking at it as postures. But what shocks me about this is that I did not realize it, I honestly thought I knew it was more than that but surprisingly I really didn’t

Thank you Yogam for posting “Patanjali” that got me to look up Patanjali which lead me to reading the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, which I had never read before. And that somehow got me to Georg Feuerstein’s CD set and I have been learning a lot and it has and is changing my view on many things.
But there is so much being thrown at me in the CDs I find I am having to listen to them a few times

Yoga is very helpful both older & younger. You can see all types of Yoga on Google and can use which is suitable workout lessons for you. Yoga help to control the energy flow in body. Thanks!
