What types of yoga do you practice?

I practice Hatha, Vinyasa, and Iyengar. I only practice in my home. The only studio where I live practices Power Yoga, and there atmosphere is not very welcoming. I can’t wait to start my own studio.

I practise hatha yoga for the joy of doing it, and I have a separate meditation practise as well.

I got very involved with the Iyengar system. So wonderful, precise, progressive.

Then I took up Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga which is not unrelated.

I see purification of my body as the starting point for being a better person. I do not follow the eight-limbed path. I am probably something heretical, I do not know.

At the moment, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, but when I have all my books from Scotland, I am going to start the Iyengar system again, by following that wonderful course in tha back of Iyengar’s book, “Light on Yoga”.

Fortis, that is true and though most people see yoga as the physical exercise (hatha etc), It is the starting point of the purification process for the body, mind and soul. That is why they say…cleanliness is next to Godliness.

Types of Yoga

I see here many types of yoga:

Internet Yoga

Should we add “Internet Yoga” to the many other types of yoga ?

Just kidding.

Dunno … guess I am doing some bhakti yoga along with karma yoga.
Or, if i want to to be more specific, I’d say I am stuck at the first limb of the eight limbed path.
