I’m no body builder, but I really enjoy doing an an hour or two of yoga, and then same in the weight room. It often leaves my mind still and quiet and muscles happily singing (for lack of a better description). But I try to do this very early in the mornings so the weightroom is empty and quiet.
I also like yoga before running. Before I found yoga, it might take 30 minutes of running to get into the zone, so the world could turn off and my mind could just be still in the act of running. Ending yoga with meditation puts me right in the zone, so grabbing a run right afterwards is just great! almost like cheating :-)!
