Hi there. A couple years ago my wife and I were studying astanga yoga. During that time, Jean Hall’s “Astanga Yoga and Mediation” served as our reference manual. Although we bought it for only $6 from the sale rack at a local bookstore, it was priceless to us. Highly recommend it.

Do you have a favorite?

My favourite book of yoga is the one I am reading now. All my books on yoga are favourites.
Presently I am studying “Second Coming of Jesus Christ” by Yogananda.
eight lectures on yoga by Aleister crowley.
Raja yoga by swami vivekananda.
the hatha yoga pradipika.
There are so many books, I have loads of books and some mroe on order. I have a library of very usefull and inspiring yoga books, I couldn’t say which one.
However, my favourite yoga book is myself, the one I read each moment, the books, teachings (in what ever form) are guides to read ones self in my oppinion.
So I guess my most favourite book is the living being that is me, especially when I apply the a practices of yoga to my experience.
