A book about Gandhi and Bin Laden

Friend of mine, professor of religion at one Florida universities, James L. Rowell, published a book about Gandhi and Ben laden. This book very fair examines the lives and ideas of Mohandas K. Gandhi and Osama bin Laden. Can both men be equally religious figures? How can the religious philosophy of nonviolence respond to its nemesis, which takes life easily and casually?

Both are absolutely opposite side of nature also one cannot compare Gandhi with Ben laden on this front.

you are right, they were completely different people, but both of them used their native religion as a tool to achieve their goal… quite interesting…

2 different completely different people in the same book.

Comparing the 2, the man of non-violence and the man who advocate violence would be an awesome topic. I believe both men have some similarities and that is the passion they have for what they believe in. I certainly will get the book and see how the author handles the comparison.

Thank you! The book is absolutely awesome. Precise biography and description of childhood of both men…
I love the point on how the religion can be use to do good things and horrible things.
