I find this posting from before to be both funny and pitiful.
For the Christian; with all due respect, and I truly mean this…-

The information from Kreeft was very much based on incorrect assumptions of both Catholic and Protestant Christian misgivings of other religions in general and Sanatan Dharma (incorrectly understood by the modern term Hindu) in particular.
This is ok… we all have misconceptions based on how we are raised and formed as humans and from the culture from whom we come.
However… when corrected by Surya, about the problematic statements… The Christian jumped in with absolutely no respect.
This is a place of peaceful discussion and when disagreement is likely to occur; as it will happen; Respect and compassion is the way to discuss differences.
Remember; when we say Namaskar… as a greeting, we are literally saying “I greet you with respect and recognize the divine within you”…
So please… the missionary apologetic arguments are completely out of place here…
Let us discuss and speak with each other with respect, compassion and love.

Comparing Christianity and Hinduism is like comparing sewage with drinking water.

I agree with Jagannath. The author was not neutral in his exposition but biased towards Christianity (just like every true Christian).

This is precisely why Christianity must be eradicated.

He makes the mistake of confusing one religion: Christianity, with a system that has several religions within it: Hinduism.

If he compared Christianity with, for example, Sri Vaishnavism or Kashmir Shaivism, specifically, then at least he could come to more accurate conclusions wrt a specific religion within Hinduism.

Hinduism doesn’t have several religions within it. What it does have are denominations with various epistemological, onotological, and theological views, varying from atheism to pantheism.

But I agree that most Western definitions of “Hinduism” are flawed since they do not take into account that fact.
