About mastering padmasana

Hi,

I have read many articles which focus on not forcing oneself into achieving a particular posture and allow time for it to happen. While I agree with it, I have a question about Padmasana. I have seen that even very experienced yoga trainers and practitioners, when they sit in padmasan, their both knees don’t touch the ground. I have personally never met or heard of anybody who satisfies both of the ollowing 2 conditions:-

  1. Initially S/He is not at all able to touch both the knees to ground while in Padmasana.
  2. After lot of practice s/he is then able to touch both the knees to the ground while in Padmasana.

I would like to know experiences of people who have experienced this situation first hand. I have seen yoga instructors charging people huge amount only to promise that at some stage they will be able to achieve the posture. But then why don’t we ever see such people who could make it? Please share your experiences.

Thanks

?as we all know there are stages to make it to a perfect.

i learned here, ‘The Shivambu’ that made me to realize in the wee hours with no pain for hrs in fluid motion of my breath in the classicpadmasana.

Thanks.

Are you referring to people doing poweryoga when you say you seen avanced persons not being able to touch both knees in padmasan? Poweryoga will make you stiffer.

But some people are also more flexible by nature than others.
