Acceptance

hi, I have been writing poetry for about a decade now, really serious about it for the past 2 years, and have about 100 or more quality (at least I think so) pieces that I have done… long story short I just wrote my first piece inspired by my yoga practice, any thoughts or critiques are appreciated <3

ACCEPTANCE

I cracked open my skull and pulled out these letters,
from my lips to yours I cannot describe them any better,
written in this ink that dripped from the teeth of angels,
rainbow blood on skin will be the product of my pen,
and the well will not run dry as long as I am full of sin,
the realization of separation sparks the trembling of my fingertips,
I strive so hard to close the gap when I pretend that it exists,
and my ego keeps God at bay, the lie of duality,
the falsehoods encoded into my perception from birth,
the screaming dissonance of how things seem to be and how my eternal spirit knows they really are,
attaining this unity with the Godhead requires only a relaxation of the tightly closed gates of reality,
fake plastic idols strewn at the foot of the holy mountain,
melted down into the finest silver and hardest diamond,
the jewel of awareness in the crown of humility,
the scepter of sacred geometrical symmetry,
clasped in the divine fingers of the unified consciousness of light, love and peace,
breathing in the pure energy of silence,
prana flows through my pores and carries me far beyond these shores,
the dust clinging to my feet is shaken off,
and it creates entire universes when it falls onto the raw boiling canvas of all possible futures,
the primordial ooze of undefined consciousness,
splitting open my heart with the ebullient cries of Aum,
the vibratory acceptance of One.

seems gloomy to me…sorry…cracked scull … blood…plastic idols…brr

meh, darkness is a valid part of human experience. there is nothing inherently wrong with it.

i agree with you…and i did not say that gloomy is bad or invalid or wrong  but for some reason we all tend to with to experience happiness, bliss, calm, peace…etc…
I used to wright gloomy poetry long time ago…do u think that poetry reflects our inner world?

oh for sure! i wont tell ya I dont have gloomy tendencies  bliss will be written about when I grasp a hold of it more firmly.

“Accept yourself and the world will accept you”
