Admission Prerequisites for M.Sc. Yoga - Lateral Entry (Annamalai University-Chennai)

Hi friends !

I am 32 years old Indian male. I am interest in Yoga and want to do some professional training in yoga. Apart from this, my future plan is to do M.Sc. in Yoga and then NET and Ph.D. in Yoga.

I am also employed so I want to do M.Sc. in Yoga through ‘Distance Learning’. I checked two universities of south India:

  1. Annamalai University, Chennai
    Courses Offered:
    P.G. Diploma in Yoga - 1 Year
    and M.Sc. in Yoga - 2 Years

  2. Bharathair University, Coimbatore
    Course Offered:
    P.G. Diploma in Yoga Education

Now, due to some reason, I am not able to register myself in ‘Annamalai University’. So, I am option to choose ‘Bharathair University’.

But, ‘Bharathair University’ does not provide ‘M.Sc. in Yoga’.

I am thinking if I do ‘P.G. Diploma’ (1 Year)’ and then get lateral entry in ‘02nd Year of M.Sc. Yoga’

I want to know if someone (specially from south) has the idea about it. Is it possible ?

Also,

I have seen in UGC Subjects List, that there is no subject of Yoga for NET. Though I think Ph.D. is possible in Yoga in some universities.

Then, if UGC does not list ‘Yoga’ in Subject Lists, then how one can be a Yoga Trainer in Higher Institutions. (For lectureship in Higher Education, NET is compulsory as per my knowledge).

Will Yoga in Ph.D. alone work to get in higher education ? How many people do Ph.D. in Yoga ? Can I do Ph.D. in Yoga and Naturopahty ?

Regards.
