Anger Management

Anger Management is best resorted to through yoga. I have personally experienced this. Yoga has helped me control my emotions …giving a relaxation to my mind and body…

anger suggests your liver requires attention. Check out traditional chinese medicine philosophies concerning the liver. there are some wonderful naturpathic techniques to clear and rebalance the liver, including castor oil packing and coffee enemas… i find they really help me.

you can contact www.natnut.co.uk for information on the above. they do self help courses and dvds/cds with details of the techniques.

Theres no one way to get rid of anger. There are many ways. Yours might indeed work for you, but might not help someone else. I think its lovely that you share your wisdom here for others to learn from. Thank you.

Dear Yalgaar,

Just arrived back from India today. During my three week stay there I attend a yoga workshop hosted by Dr Rajasekharan in Varkala. One of the most beautiful practices he taught was a very simple series to eliminate anger in your life and will take you less than 10 minutes veryday and I would gladly like to share this and I could feel and see the effect of this in the group on a daily basis:

Sit in Vajrasana. Place your hands, palms down on the thigh. Whiletaking a deep breath in, raise your arms above the head. Keep them straight and shoulder width apart. Eyes closed. Visualise that your are sitting undera golden waterfall, feel the water flowing in through your hands into your whole body and being. Breath deeply, on the third exhalation, bend the trunk forward from the hips, keeping the arms and head inline with the trunk. At the end, your forehead and hands should rest on the floor. Now practice ujjayi pranayama in this final position accoding to your own limits. After pranayama, come up to original position and repeat 7 times.

According to Dr Rajasekharan his own teacher who was prone to bouts of anger cured himself of anger with nine months of disciplined practice everyday.

Let me know how this works for you.

Anger is just the Reflection on a particular situation. Practising Yoga will definitely helps to reduce the anger. Listening to the music will help to reduce anger. Ojas Foundation has come up with an application called Ojas - A Wonderful Collection of Mantra and Chants.
