Ankle sprain

hai, good afternoon, i’ve been having some kind of ankle problem/weakness since more than 1 year ago. it’s happen at my left foot.i still remember i got this during a football game. since then, i can still play football, walk and run as usual but it will pain some time when i bend my ankle. this avoiding me from giving my full 100% game during any sports involving running. im doing yoga for more than 1 year. but i dont have any knowledge of any asanas that can cure my ankle. is there any yoga pose that i can learn which can cure this? i would be happy to receive your advice. thank u

I badly tore ligments in my left ankle 10 years ago and have never regained full flexability back in it. You may have to accept that you cannot ‘cure’ you ankle. Acceptance and patience are the key here. You have to modify asanas to accomadate your injury.

I cannot diagnose what has happened, only your doctor can. You may or may not regain full use of your ankle. You can consult your doctor to find out exactly what has happened and allow your body to take care of itself.
I think that helping to strengthen the muscles around the area will help alleviate the pain. Work on strengthening your calves and lower leg muscles. Maybe even doing Chair or Awkward Pose or other poses that strengthen those areas will help. But take care not to overdo it and stop if it is painful.

thank u , i appreciate that

I also broke my ankle 1 year ago. I found Iyengar Yoga to be a very beneficial form of training for injuries, as you can do many modifications using equipment.
Strap the ankle up, especially during sport, warm up and warm down using asanas and relaxation. See a good physiotherapist or osteopath. If the ankle plays up in training, rest.
Though my ankle still gets sore and is not as flexible as it was, by doing the above my practice has not been affected.
