Hi, I?m currently working as a Hatha Yoga teacher and I?m looking for other sources of revenue (I?m sure you are all aware of that situation :slight_smile: ) I?m thinking of training to learn another skill that would compliment my yoga, possibly massage or Ayurveda. Hmmm, but I?m unsure what would be suitable. Any suggestions or recommendations would be most appreciated. Namaste?

Unfortunately, not a unique situation you’re finding yourself in! Reiki can provide healing and relaxation much like yoga and often compliment each other well. You can also try to find corporate yoga clients. They often offer mediation/yoga classes to their employees during the lunch hour and tend to pay quite a bit more than a yoga studio. Good luck! Yoga clothes don’t buy themselves, do they?

There is an over abundance of poverty consciousness among yoga teachers today. Some feel as though it’s not “right” to have money, overlooking the energetics of money in our current context. As a result, a first step would be to heal the consciousness so that the teacher can then manifest wealth (as it’s a requisite of yoga outlined in the four purusharthas - Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha).

How much wealth? As much as is needed for the person’s individual life mission or purpose (dharma). No more, and no less.

We attract what we radiate. As such it is not so much a matter of the what we are doing as the how we are thinking about it (and ourselves).

I can’t tell someone exactly what they should be doing or incorporating into their professional lives. I can however say that it pays larger dividend when it is tied in to your purpose (rather than ego) and is conjoined with a way of thinking that draws abundance to you.

Would you consider teaching abroad? I know couple Yoga house owners here in Shanghai China and they are looking for Hatha/Astanga Yoga teachers. Let me know if you are interested.

if you are thinking to learn another skill that would compliment your yoga, perhaps this combination of hypnotherapy and yoga could be also an idea for you? I talk about something like described here: http://yoga-ttc-hypnotherapy-training.com/yoga-teachers-training-thailand/combination-health/
Actually I like the idea and think of even doing this training. When you are already a yoga teacher, of course this training is not for you, but I guess there are quite a few possible options to get trained in hypnotherapy.
