Anything I could add or change?

Hello and thanks for reading,

I’ve been practicing and studying yoga for about a year now and have kinda settled in on a routine that I try my best to do every night. The purpose of my practice is to be more healthy both mentally and physically which I feel yoga/meditation deliver like nothing else. Having read a few good books (especially “The Anatomy of Hatha Yoga” by H David Coulter ) and scoured the internet for other information, I come here to see if anyone might have good ideas about how I might improve my practice.

The first aspect I would appreciate comment on is do you think that doing the same routine every night is ok or should I change it up. I do a few sun salutations and then hold a series of poses for 5-15 breathes. As opposed to a flow type series of asanas that I’ve done in yoga classes.

After asanas I end with some type of meditation. Either counting breaths 1-10 for 20 minutes, doing the 83 point meditation in Mr. Coulter’s book, or counting to 100 breaths. Are there any other effective methods you use?

Lastly, the asanas I do. I’ve tried to stretch out every part of the body and be efficient (in an attempt to keep my practice time around 60-80 minutes, depending on how fast I’m breathing that night  ). After a few sun salutations I go in this order, and sometimes do it in reverse:

sirsasana(headstand), sarvangasana(shoulderstand), halasana(, matsyasana(fish), kapotasana(pigeon), dhanurasana(bow), supta virasana(reclining hero), chakrasana(bridge), adho mukha svanasana(downward facing dog), paschimottanasana(seated foreward bend), trikonasana(triangle), splits(not sure what the sanskrit name is), and pada hastasana(standing foreward bend)

Perhaps balancing exercises of some sort? Do you think both dhanurasana and chakrasana are so similar that I might only choose one? The same with paschimottanasana and pada hastasana?

Thank you again and any comments would be appreciated.
