[quote=sanchin;14309]I have been active in indoor rock climbing for the past 4 years and have never given yoga much thought. However, I would occasionally go to the Prana website to browse/buy climbing apparel. While there I started noticing their yoga line and also started reading more and more about yoga. This recently prompted me into an outdoor yoga class being held at a nearby wilderness park and I really enjoyed it.
I officially started yoga classes this week and I bought a Prana eco mat and mat bag to show my appreciation to Prana for introducing me to yoga.
Who knew a clothing line could lead one to yoga
How did you find yoga?

Not only do I love Prana’s apparel, but I can relate to your experience with apparel in relation to yoga. Except for myself it was the other way around…
My yoga practice eventually inspired me to get back into my artwork. So much in fact that I now create yoga apparel designs and started my own yoga apparel business.
When I first began practicing Ashtanga yoga several years ago, I never expected to give me so much inspiration off the mat as it has on the mat.
How I found yoga… while shopping at a little Healing and Energy gift store in town. They had a variety of yoga DVDs to browse through and I came across one by Nicki Doane, who is a well known Ashtanga yoga teachers - one of the first females to be certified by Sri K. P himself. I was intrigued by the description of the practice, and being a marathoner at the time, attracted to it’s very physically demanding nature. I decided to give it ago and before I knew it I was “hooked”. I “thought” I was in great shape before I bought the DVD… then I tried the DVD for the first time… WOW. It was a challenge! Three years later I am still running, but my yoga practice has become equally important if not more important than the miles I run each week. I’ve never been in such great shape mentally, spiritually and physically. In addition to practicing Ashtanga a few times per week or so, I recently started practicing Duncun Wong’s Yogic Arts once per week. It’s such a unique and powerful practice and I really enjoy it.
