Friends,
Recently diagnosed with a grapefruit size (18 week) fibroid. I’m trying to gather as much info before meeting with the doctor to decide on treatment. Are there any asana I can add to my daily practice to aid in this. Specifically to help make the fibroid smaller.
Any advise or help would be greatly appreciated.
Really! nobody???
I am sorry to leave you hanging–I can certainly understand your concern and sense of urgency.
Have you searched out Mukunda’s posts on fibroids yet? If not search for those. His recommendations, including that for Susan Weed’s work, are my own.
Wishing you all the best,
Nichole
Sorry, friend. I assume there is a gap in research – yoga folks here not having access to knowledge about what can shink a fibroid, and fibroid people (who probably aren’t here) not being concerned about what yoga can do for their patients.
I hope you and your doctor find lots of good news.
there are poses that can help with this condition but I am not a theraputic yoga teacher so dont feel comfortable giving advice via computer,I am a Iyengar teacher and have seen many people helped with this condition. A senior Iyengar teacher should be able to help.I dont have my books with me but im sure ive seen advice in a couple, i will post the names of books next week when im back home.
may you be comfortable
Hi
I may well be able to find something for you.
I’ve only just seen this and am suffering from toddler induced sleep deprivation at the moment.
Can you hang on in there a day or so?
(if you can’t wait then my suggestions are try to find any Well Woman yoga therapy work by either Francoise Freedman (Birthlight.com) or Uma Dinsmore-Tuli (Sitaram.org))
