Namaste,
doing a research on some of the yoga asanas and looking for their origin, place, scriptures,books where they were mentioned first:
Hanumanasana
Virabhadrasana III/ Eka Padasana
Adho Mukha Vrksana/Handstand
Janu Sirsasana
Eka Pada Uttanasana
Tandavasana
Bhunamasana
Sarpasana
Santolasana
Ardha Sirsasana

The above asanas can be found in the books written by T. Krishnamcharya and his popular disciples i.e. B. K. S. Iyenger, Patabhi Joice and T.K.V. Desikachar.
The asanas can be found in book by T. Krishnamcharya and his disciple Patabhi Joice has written book named by Yogamala; book written by Iyenger named by Light on Yoga.
Names of books written by above prominent disciples can be traced through internet with historical perspective you are seeking.
