Ashtanga Yoga help

I’ve recently resumed practising ashtanga yoga after an almost 8-year break. I used to practise regularly, attending a class once a week, and practising 2-3-times a week at home and I was really beginning to feel the benefits. However, as a result of being in a particularly transient phase in my life I moved around a lot, couldn’t attend my much-loved class and subsequently fell out of the habit.

Ten years on, I’m now a single mother to an almost 3-year old daughter and so attending an evening class is not really an option.

I recently ordered a DVD (Nicki Doane Beginners Ashtanga Yoga) which, despite the slightly robotic voice, is great as it gives clear explanations of the vinyasas/asanas so that I know I’m doing it right. However it only comprises Suryanamaskara A and B followed by the standing poses and end relaxation. I’d like a little more…

Does anybody know if there is a DVD aimed at beginners (I’m a little rusty  ) that comprises a guided session of the full primary series with both standing, seated postures and relaxation?

I’m based in the UK. Thanks in advance.

Namaste

This is not a DVD, but it is free to watch David Swenson’s 12 part video series on youtube, if you aren’t too attached to having it on the big screen:

I don’t practice ashtanga, but I find this very informative and well designed, especially if you are already familiar with the majority of the practice. I downloaded all the videos onto my computer and occasionally I will play it through a playlist in media player. You could also try finding the actual dvd of this.

Thanks suryadaya. I’m not averse to using the laptop in fact I don’t know why I never considered the likes of youtube for inspiration before. I’ll try your link as soon as I’m able.
