When I jump forward, my wrists have to be raised a bit in order for my feet to line up with my palms. Is this wrong? What do I need to improve so that my palms can stay flat? When I jump back from standing to downward dog though, my palms can remain flat.
I have not seen your jump forward, However I could make some educated guesses by your description. I suggest lifting your hips higher to the sky as if you were going into a handstand. It could also be a flexibility issue and you can do more forward folds to gain flexibility in this area. Try watching this youtube video of someone jumping through and replicate the same motion.
