Assymetrical arms

I have a new client with one arm 1 3/4 inches shorter than the other (humerus growth bone stopped in puberty from accident). She practices yoga daily, but has developed a lot of shoulder discomfort and low back/pelvis tension. I’m looking for ideas to modify her poses that would be easy and effective. Her hand would need to be elevated somehow, as well as her forearm - but in a safe way. Thanks

Modify poses to make the arms more even this should help in lessening the likelihood of her shouder and neck strains. For example in cat, pad under shorter hand so shoulders are level. In dog pose put the shorter arms hand closer to feet. IN stick pose block shorter arm. these types of modifications are best learned from an Iyengar trained teacher. Ones with experience can be of great help in such assymetries. She needs to not try to do poses symmetrically when the hands are weight bearing. Individual attention is needed here with the curriculum of asanas taught then class will be much more beneficial. namaste mukunda
