Astanga - Morning practice begins the evening before?

I'm back doing Astanga after doing it on and off, sometimes intensively. I would love some sharing on what you do to prepare for bed the evening before practice.
my ham strings - which I believe is a common area of struggle in the mornings - I'm wondering whether some stretching before bed is a good idea?
