Though I wasn’t in attendance I hear Dharma Mitra used this imagery in a yoga nidra session on the last day of the 2013 Bhakti Fest.
He used this order, raging seas(or just water), bring the water to a calm state, baby in a red blanket.
I have used the excuse of being sick to not fully work on what this might mean but the best I’ve come up with so far is the baby represents the gunas. The baby has form so tamas, it has no woes and thus is sattvic, and the blanket is red for rajo guna. This probably isn’t the best analysis however because everything in prakriti has a guna balance.
Any thoughts? Have you heard this one before?
