Or there is another story for “bad news, good news”:
One wise mad lived in the middle of Mongolia. He had big family and many children. They had many horses. One day his favorite horse run away. People said : bad sing! He replied: bad sing-good sing…who knows!?
Next day the horse came back and brought few more horses from the wild. People exclaimed: good sing! Wise man replied: bad sing-good sing…who knows!?
Next day his oldest son was hit and injured by one of the wild horses. People said: bad sing! He said again: bad sing-good sing…who knows!?
Few weeks after an imperrior started the bloody war and all men must go. His son could not go and people said: how lucky he is! he will be alive! and so on an so forth… I dont remember the end of the story though:)
