Basic asanas to work on

I have a 30 minute session to work with a yogi on any yoga asanas I might need help learning. I was told to put together a list of 3 - 5 I want to work on.

How do I choose? Do I go with basic poses to get the alignment as close to perfect as physically possible given my body and flexibility? Or do I work with more challenging ones that I’m a bit confused about?

Choices, choices! What a fun ‘problem’ Any advice?

If you have some time to work one-on-one with a person who is experienced, I having her check a few of your basic postures to make sure they are correct, and then have her help you with the most confusing or challenging ones. Perhaps she can help you to make them less challenging.

the poses are the the most important part of yoga. Breathing letting go of your mind and feeling your body are the most important and also hardest to accomplish so work on thess first

  1. your breath s the most important aspect of yoga
  2. letting go of your mind
  3. physical asanas are the least important of the 3

practice in this order and you will find the physical asana become much easier if you focus on breathing and letting your mind go
