Bihar school of yoga - Rikhiapeeth INFO?

Hello everyone,

I am new in this forum and I would like to gather some information about yoga teachers courses in india, I already wrote to some of them and received answers from Bihar school of yoga, Rikhiapeeth and school of Santhi.
I am looking for 1 month course and Bihar school is offering such a course in febuary 2014 in rikhiapeeth.
I will be really grateful to receive some info about them ( exp. if the course is Yoga alliance recognized and … ) and I will appreciate everyone who wants to share with me his/her experience.

Are you sure there is a course in Feb 2014?.. the website says there was a course in Feb 2013 in Rikhipeeth, but does not seem to show one for Feb 2014.

As far as I am aware Bihar does not subscribe to the Yoga Alliance system (but do check with them, I may be mistaken).

I wrote to them and they said that the up comming course is in feb 2014, but they still have to answer me about my other questions. So if even their certificate is not subscribed with Yoga alliance, the certificate they release, is good internationaly?
I know Bihar is one of the well known schools in india but I still have some doubts.

Bihar School generally has a good reputation… I am not aware of any criticism.

Their teachings are quite deep in philosophy, spirituality, meditation, yogic lifestyle and medico-therapeutic applications and they are much less inclined towards the kind of fitness and body toning approach that is popular in many western yoga studios.

Read their books and visit one of their teachers, then you’ll get a good idea of whether that style is right for you.

Bihar school of yoga is one the best school in whole world also its one rare school which teaches swara yoga its a esoteric tantric yoga practice mainly using breath, if they swar yoga is includes in there YTTC then you might get what you are looking for.
