Bikram yoga is not good for everyone!

talks about Bikram yoga dangers and bikram yoga is not good for everyone!

Nothing is “good” for everyone.

So it was not good for you?

@Fakeyogis

Me?

It is not appropriate for me at this time. I leave right and wrong out of the picture entirely and keep space open for possibilities as Yoga is about a willingness to change for one’s growth.

in my opinion Bikram yoga is suitable for an advanced asana practitioners… it is very challenging physical practice and requires great mastery of asana and mind focus.

No i was thinking of the thread starter. Why to say such thing unless something bad have happened to him.

Practitioners of Bikram yoga are at risk of dehydration, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and fainting,

So are you saying yoga is bad for you?

I don’t think that is what is meant by his post. There are many anecdotal incidences of injury from hot yoga, mainly from some eager to ‘push themselves to the limit’. And, if not properly prepared, hot yoga can cause the symtoms described. Several physical and health therapists have gone on record against hot yoga and some consider it a health hazard.

In spite of that, hot yoga, and Bikram yoga, remains the most popular form of yoga practiced right now worldwide. Attend any hot yoga studio and you will find the classes packed. Some regular yoga studios would love to have a weeks attendance for what accounts for a day at the hot studio.
