Bulky tricep

Hi there everyone,

I would appreciate some help with an issue : after a few months of daily home practice trying to figure out how to do arm stands and chataranga properly, I found that my tricep became bulked up in an un-natural way, i.e. the rest of my arms are soft but only the triceps are bulky.

I suspect that I must have put incorrect weight and tension on the triceps when I tried to get up into crow pose or lowered down into chataranga. Anyone has similar experience?

Is there any pose that could help to stretch and lengthen the bulky triceps? Or to tighten up the rest of the arm muscles such that they won’t stand out so oddly?

I have noticed my upper arm gets bulky when I do sun salutations on a regular basis. I already suffer from distorted body issues so maybe it is not just in my mind after all. My arm is definitely fatter looking. I know that goes against the yoga philosophy though to be so vain. However, I like to look more delicate. Due to my accident, I have cut down on my asana practice significantly and I feel like my arm has shrunk back down some.
