Is believing in numerology against the beliefs of christians? I have heard about these things several times already. But I don’t thinks so…what do you think?
You should not ask questions like this on a yoga forum. If you really want to know what Christians think about this, you should go to a Christian forum.
What isn’t against the beliefs of Christianity, from science and logic to sex?

Of course you can ask questions like this…its the religious section…

If a person can obtain, (and they do) the same from Christianity as they do from Hinduism, Sikhism, Islam, Buddhism, etc…then the validity of Christianity stands.
As for Numerology. I don’t think that Christianity would sanction it.

Too bad the first part of that hypothesis is not true, rendering your entire syllogism as untrue.
No, it is true that a person can obtain enlightenment or whatever you wish to call it by practising Christian methods…

No. Being a Christian also means accepting its doctrinal racism and religious bigotry, which is not something that advances you on the path to Enlightenment.
The only way to become Enlightened as a Christian is to be un-Christian; reject the organized religion of Christianity and practice its humanistic values (which are by no means special).
Unfortunately, 90% of Christians would sooner rush into a Hindu temple and desecrate the idols than give up any aspect of their faith.

You are funny Nietches…now you know you are not religious…do you understand how it all works…enlightenment I mean??? there are many ways to gain enlightenment and Christianity is one way…of course it isn’t called enlightenment in Christianity but enlightenment is what it is. There isn’t a doubt in my mind of this.
Tell me, are Christians doing this today in India Noetches?..

LOL! What DON’T Christians in India do?
They are running around spreading propaganda and vitriol against Hinduism. They cozy up to the poor and offer them rewards “education, food, etc” on the condition that they convert to Christianity. They turn them into anti-Hindu/Indian bigots who form the base of the corrupt “secular” class in Indian society.
I’m not religious, that’s true. I may not be as learned as you all in spirituality but I am certainly well informed in history and as a consequence, the developments of major religions such as Christianity. To a scientific and rational mind, it is obvious that Christianity is a primitive and overly zealous religion that retards you on the path to Enlightenment due to its dogmatic and supremacist doctrines.
How do the First Three Commandments go again? Hmm?
I am of the Christian faith.
I have a open heart though. I saw a special where Dalai Lama said (I’m paraphrasing) religion was important but it is a personal choice. He said Christians may think Buddhist are a little whacky, and Buddhist may think Christians are a little whacky but what is important is that you have a good heart.
Being a Christian, I am discouraged by many things Christians do. I think the message of love, service, humility, and peace gets lost because of common flaws in man; such as wanting to be better than the next guy. It turns into something very ugly. I think at the core you can do more good with love than any other force on earth.
As far as numerology… I think a practicing Christian will know in his/her heart if something is wrong. What offends one person may not another. We have the Holy Spirit to guide us. It is not up to us to judge each other. In you walk with God if something condemns you in your heart, I’d say maybe give it up, if not, learn what you can.
I will say as far as Bible codes and things, I find them fascinating but I think too often people get caught up in such things and miss that the greatest message of all is love.

I agree that help should not be conditional. I don’t think that’s the way the Sisters of Charity do things.
At any rate…why do not the rich Hindus “cozy up to to the poor”? Why is it that Hindus are not reaching out to them?
