Christmas gifts

I have always given my students small gifts at the holiday times. Any suggestions for something meaningful, but yet cheap? Like maybe $1? I have made ornaments, eye pillows, yoga Cd’s, along with food items like trail mix in a stocking, etc. I am running out of ideas! I have about 65 students total, so I can’t spend too much!!

Are you sure your students celebrate the Christmas holiday? Otherwise I wouldn’t worry too much about finding a gift with “meaning” if the actual holiday holds no meaning to them.

Not sure about where you live but here there are dollar stores that surprisingly have some great stuff: photo albums, frames, candles, cookies, candies, etc for a buck. You could even make a donation to your favourite charity in honour of your students. Or buy yourself a couple new cds to play during class? Or some new equipment for the class to use?

Don’t you give them all you have already?

maybe tea candles or incense.

speakking of tea candles, you could give them tea bags too, peppermint tea, greeen tea, chamomile, etc…

Good idea! And you could associate the tea with keeping warm during the chilly upcoming winter season vs the religious holiday(s). Actually, chilly depending on where you are…im in Toronto so Christmas = cold to us

EDIT: Just randomly remembered that last week I took a yoga class at my local gym and it was the teacher’s birthday so she gave everybody a cellophane bag with an orange and a few foil wrapped chocolates. Seasonal fruits/nuts are a good idea too. But yeah, consider if you really need to give anything.

Give them chocolates, gift baskets which are very cheap and reasonable.

How about a card outlining a home practice for each student during the christmas holiday break?

You can give Some kinds of small type of Educational things.
