Class level

I have a question,Im not sure if all studios do it this way but mine does. We have four level of classes Basic,Basic/1…1/2 and 2/3. Im very comfortable in 1/2 but would like some 2/3 in there. Yet i don’t want the teacher to have to slow down or spend to much time with me since it will affect the rest of the students that have been doing 2/3 for a while. I was thinking of asking the owner/teacher of the studio what teacher has the softest of the 2/3 and ease in that way. thanks

I’m uncertain what your question is exactly but I certainly understand the predicament.

First, this obviously needs to be fired off at the studio folk in question. ONly they know their structure and mission.

Secondly, that presumes it needs to be fired off at all. I don’t think it’s a big deal for a student to move up (or down) as they feel ready to do so. The teacher’s task is to teach the class. No one in the room is prepared in exactly the same way. Big deal.

I just wouldn’t sweat this. Go take the class if you are clear in your mind that you’ve developed the things in the current class that they were trying to impart to you. Learning curve is to be expected. It’s why you’re there int he first place - not to know everything.

Just try classes until you find one that feels right. It’s not really a matter of who teaches the “softest” class to ease in. Some teachers are better than others at handling multilevel classes and that makes more of a difference.
