I sweat beads and buckets. What do you wear to yoga?
I seem to sweat through any shirt that I wear and I turn my mat into a small lake.
I’ve been using a beach towel on my mat, any other methods to keep from sliding off the mat?

I see some of my male classmates completely taking off their t-shirt in the middle of the class. They have a mat towel called Skidless made by yogitoes that they put on top of the mat. Very absorbant and give good grip once your hands and feet have some moisture. It was sold in our yoga studio for $57 plus tax for a regular mat size so I searched online and found the cheapest one at www.absoluteyogi.com. It works great for me because my towel doesn’t stay put when I change pose and Skidless doesn’t have this problem. They also have a bigger size called BIG skidless and it is more expensive. Probably for taller or bigger people.
Hello,
Is using A/C or fan not advisable during yogasana/pranayama? I am in one of the Mid-East Countries and without A/C, it’s quite difficult to do yogasana. Please give me your opinion.
you can wear power dry’s. Which are clothes usually made of 100% polyester. You should be able to find them in any great outdor shop.
The problem I find that most guys when they wear these kind of polyester stay-dry outfit, they stink really bad once they sweat. If I am doing yoga in a room with someone, I will die if they smell. So I think it is better to just wear a cotton t-shirt that you can take off half way thru and you just wipe yourself with a towel. At least with a skidless whatever part you touch the mat towel will absort your sweat.
Sweating a lot during yoga is totally normal, but it can definitely make things slippery. A towel on your mat is a good start, but you can try a yoga mat designed specifically for grip when wet. Some brands make moisture-wicking shirts that can help with sweating through your clothes. I’ve read through https://shein.pissedconsumer.com/review.html , and it could be worth checking there if you need affordable options. Staying cool and dry can make a big difference during your practice!
You should also use Yoga Mat and yes it is nice idea to have your separete towels for each Yoga sessions. Also, I find that tank tops, cut-out shirts, and yoga pants with mesh pockets really help with breathability and ventilation. I make sure to avoid cotton because it traps moisture, making me feel hot and damp, and can lead to chafing or chilliness by the end of class.
