Comment on Yoga Sequence

Folks: Can you comment on this sequence of yoga poses. This is given in a book by a guru in my native town.

Prayer/Dhayan in vajrasan : 1-3 minute
Savasan
Viparita Karani
Shoulder Stand
Fish Pose

Meru Dandasan
Bhujagasan
Salabhasan
Dhanurasan

Ardha Matysendrasan
Pachimottasan
Sasasan(Hare Pose)
Triangle Pose

Savasan

Deep Breathing

This is generally pretty goodl, but I would suggest the following adjustments, particularly pachimothanasana, which is preferably a counter-pose to fish. Also, Child’s pose or something like it is necessary after your back-work. Give it a try.

What about adding a balancing pose like vrksasana, ardha chandrasana, or garudasana?

I am planning to add Tree pose. Also I thought Triangle pose infact is a balancing pose ? am I mistaken.

I don’t really consider Trikonasana a balancing pose. It does have elements of balancing, but it is considered a standing pose. The addition of tree is good. Maybe alternate between the 3 I listed. Variety is the spice of life, you know!
