I am always tired when I do something that is non active. I struggle through activities where I sit down to do something. But when I do things like surf or play golf I am not tired. I can also feel this way during yoga sometimes, Any suggestions?
If the rajasic aspect is predominant in your life (too much activity) it is normal to feel tired when you stop. Try to be less physically active, and have a good sleep. Try to reduce agitation, TV, and company of very active people. If the tiredness persists, try to fast for a day, taking only water and fruits. Don’t exert to much when fasting. A sattvic diet and regular asana practice will slowly eliminate the excessive tamasic aspect.
thanks hubert for your reply
to go a little further I am not real active, I would say moderate. Now there are days when I do a lot of activity but that is not the majority of days. The most active thing is my mind and I am working on relaxation techniques for that but things do not come all at once. I have been eating much better lately, meat only once a week and a lot of fruits and vegtables. I guess I need to work on relaxing and being in the moment rather then always letting my mind wonder to things that are not of the now
Oddly enough, when a human being is tired it perhaps may be time for rest.
Most people in this society are sooo sleep deprived that can’t even tally it up. To make matters worse the age old remedy of sleep has now been replaced with new age mojo called an espresso.
