Corporate pricing?

Our yoga studio is 8 months old. We have been approached by a local manufacturer who want someone to come in and do ?stretching? with their employee?s, ?not yoga?. OK, got that part. They want us twice a day, on site. 10-12 mins of stretching for 20-50 people, three separate groups. Approx one hour total, once in the morning and another in the late afternoon, X3 ?classes? of 10/12 mins each, 5 days a week for 8 weeks.

Does anyone have experience with this? We are looking for some insight for a price to bid?

Hi Dave,

I now work for a yoga retreat center in Costa Rica, but I used to work for a personal training company that does on-site training much like what you are describing. How far would you have to travel to get to the site? I’m guessing the teacher/s would have to travel back and forth 2 times per day?

I would think of it as 2 separate visits rather than in hours because really, the 30-36 minutes of actual instruction is going to turn into an hour once you consider turn around time between groups etc. I am guessing the participants will also have questions etc.

So they would be committing to 2 sessions per day or 10 per week for 8 weeks, this is 80 sessions which is a fairly substantial committment.

Other questions that come to mind besides the length of travel time (cost of fuel and time etc.), are where you live and what you normally would charge for a private lesson. With all of this information I could venture a guess at what would be a fair price.

Thank you for the response. Everything you said is exactly right and I’m grateful you took the time to analyze it.

It is local. 10/15 mins w/traffic from our studio to the site. At our studio we charge $60/60 mins private, 2 people $75/60 mins.

I would suggest charging about $90 per session based on this info. It’s for a pretty big group so they should expect to pay more than your reg. private rate, however you can do the same thing over 3x so it isn’t THAT much more work on your part.
