Delayed gastric emptying

Does anyone has experience with ‘delayed gastric emptying’ and yoga exercices? I have especially problems at night untill the evening. So I don’t sleep good and I feel always tired. (I’m not diabetical). I’m thinking of Uddiyana bandha/ Agnisari Dhauti,… But can I do this in the evening before sleeping (maybe 3 or 4 hours after meal)?

Thanks

Greetings,

So that those with far more knowledge that me can be of better help, is this something you’ve been officially diagnosed with or are you experiencing like symptoms and have self diagnosed?

Gastroparesis, also called delayed gastric emptying, is a disorder in which the stomach takes too long to empty its contents. Normally, the stomach contracts to move food down into the small intestine for digestion. The vagus nerve controls the movement of food from the stomach through the digestive tract. Gastroparesis occurs when the vagus nerve is damaged and the muscles of the stomach and intestines do not work normally. Food then moves slowly or stops moving through the digestive tract.

I am also having these problem delayed gastric emptying from almost 5 years. dont worry about that. you continue your practice.the problem should be gone. according to me the delayed gastric emptying now decreased. there is no medicine to decrease the problem, the only way to do practice daiy. OK THANK YOU.

It is officially diagnosed.

This is usually not an issue with the stomach itself, except in an allopathic viewpoint. Rather it is an issue with the vagus nerve from the cranium which provides communication to the stomach for the digestive process.

My particular approach would be nutritional changes focusing on that which will feed the nervous system, gentle pranayama only, and the work of going inside to find out what it is in life that you are having difficulty “digesting”.
