All my life, i’ve struggled with some huge self esteem problems. Being too fat, not doing well enough in school, not being more outgoing, taking everything personal, worrying about how big my feet were, worrying if people were talking about me, feeling ugly in a society where the ideals of beauty were already set, etc… All of my issues created this mad, at the world, crazy person. Feeling this way made me turn to yoga.
I started practicing at home and developed a regular routine. Overall, i must say that my self esteem has risen tremendously and all those things I worried about so much don’t worry me as much anymore. I credit this to yoga as well as growing up I guess. It’s made me a more calm and balanced person. But to make my long story short, everyday I do my routine and feel vibrant afterwards… It never fails to make me feel great.
But, today was different. After my yoga practice, I jumped into the shower and immediately I balled like a baby and was overcome with such great joy I thought I lost my mind. I didn’t know why I was so happy but I was. I felt like everything was fine the way it was and that all those things I told myself were impossible, weren’t anymore. I felt on top of the world and that I could do anything. Has anyone ever felt this way or have I in fact lost my mind?
Haha that’s a great story. Yes I know that feeling, I feel like that pretty much the whole day :D.
You were right about the feeling that everything is perfect just the way it is. Seeing that everything is already perfect just the way it is, is the Key to experiencing the freedom beyond all concepts, from which you know decisively that you are indestructible freedom, that nothing whatsoever can harm your perfect free nature. This will make you feel on top of the world yes, how could it not?
Love,
Bentinho.
I’ve seen other people relate this kind of sudden emotional release as a result of yoga practice. They too were asking, what just happened? I don’t know what to make of it, but I thought you might draw some comfort from knowing that you’re not alone.
enjoy

That’s great that there are people out there that feel like that everyday. I guess I have a lot to learn and more yoga to practice!! Thank you!!
Hey nmopas,
That is great indeed! However, my stable happiness is not due to yoga practices.
Love,
B.

Congratulations, you have discovered that the rope lying in the dark on which you have stepped isn’t a snake, but just a rope. It is great that you realise that many of your snakes in your life is self created and imposed and by expanding your awareness through yoga for example you start to learn the truth about the many snakes on your path.
