Did I Hear a Load of Crap?

I was told that to lose weight w/ yoga, you need to do it for THREE HOURS A DAY!!! :o That can’t be true, cause I need to lose a few lbs and don’t have that much time. I only have 1/2 an hour. In 4 months I need to have a lower body like this:

to burn fat all you need to do is have your heart rate elevated to your target rate for at least 20 minutes, but even 10 minutes of moderate yoga can burn enough calories for you to lose weight if you do it daily, depending on your diet. The only people who should be goin for 3hours are people who worked there way up to that and want a more advanced workout, but no beginner tryin to lose weight should start out that extreme.

Yoga is helpful in a weight loss routine in many ways. It helps control cravings and regulate hormones. It calms the mind and helps with focus. Half hour routines can be devised to give these benefits. Ashtanga or power yoga will raise the metabolism and burn calories as will any vigorous exercise.
Restrict your calories and increase your exercise and you will lose weight. Yoga may help you do this.
