I want to get enough protein in a vegetarian diet. Info suggests at 140 lbs I need 65g of protein, which based on grain and legume, would mean 1 cup each at noon and evening meals. This seems a lot, given Ayurvedic ideas on amount to eat (1/3 solid, 1/3 liquid, 1/3 air).
Also, a dilemma in wanting to increase alkaline in body. Tend to acid pH, and grains and legumes add to acidity.
Some have suggested eggs (organic, non fertile), and some have said this is not yogic.
What thoughts can you share?
