Doing yoga in the middle of the night?

its 2:43 AM here and i just got done doing yoga but i was wondering if it was okay to do it this late since im busy during the day and everybodys sleep right now??

Traditionally, asana practise takes place in the two hours around sunrise in the brahmamuhurta an auspicious time for the practise of yoga as is the hour after sunset. In India this (sunrise) is between 4am and 6am. However, for those who live a long way from the equator this period can vary by 7 hours or more throughout the year.

Practise when you can (as long as you leave plenty of time after eating)

I think its ok to do yoga whenever you can. Most of us have busy lifestyles including work schedules that are always changing. In a pefect world we would all be doing yoga around sunrise, but its not perfect. Any yoga is better than none.

About 70% of the planet is water, this water is influenced dramatically by lunar cycles, about 70% of the human body is water, the balance between night/day and day/night is self-evident, on and on and on…it’s nice to be aware of suggestion from those whom tried before us but does it really matter why it works, ultimately direct experience through trial and error is the final confirmation, perhaps you will share your experience after you evaluate.

As long as you are able to go to sleep afterwards, you should be fine. Some people get energized by their yoga practice, and if you’re one of them perhaps going to bed early and doing yoga very early in the morning would be better. Just a thought.
