Don't know why I'm here

I left the forum a while ago, I decided to stop posting and visiting the forum.

No idea why, but during my morning meditation today all these flashbacks from the forum came-up in my mind…most of them unpleasant and angry.

Whilst at my PC at work today I have unintentionally found myself on the forum once again…and now even posting!

I am feeling uncomfortable being here…no idea why I am here…

Love to all those I’ve known before. xx

Sounds like meditation was giving you an opportunity to face something within yourself. Strength be with you!

There’s a hungarian saying: if they give you something, accept it, if they hit you, run away.

The spiritual way is often the opposite of common sense.

So, what for a normal person seems absurd, ie, seeking the company of people who annoy you, hurt you, upset you, can be a good spiritual exercise !

Just, as in case of physical exercise, make sure you have plenty of water, rest, and soul nurturing times in between these spiritual “workouts” !

Adversity can be a worthy trainer for transformation.

c’mon. presence of present, you know it.

Wise words, thanks. I perhaps require further inward investigation.

Hi Omamana; not sure what exactly was going on for you to make you ‘leave’ the forums but I imagine if things (words, ideas?) were coming to you during meditation and were overwhelming you then understandable you would feel the need to step away for a while. I wanted to offer the idea/notion that in this day and age when we are so exposed to so many people and so many people’s opinions it can be hard to not let it take over us. But part of our work, (especially with the fast pace of today) is that we can choose what we allow in to our energetic space. If there is an assault of stimulation then yes, maybe you need to step away. But if you feel ‘haunted’ by ideas and images from the forums (e.g. 'the cyber-yogi-world) then you can become the witness in those moments and observe without reacting and choose what you allow in-(that which can help and nurture you) and what you need to leave ‘out’ (those things that only further aggravate the mind chatter).
Just an idea, I don’t mean to trivialize what you are going through, but i think we all need to be particular about what we allow in to our inner space, as forums such as this reach worldwide and it can be a tremendous blessing as well as a hindrance–whatever we allow it to be.

Remember that you can always click the ‘X’ button and opt out. You aren’t forced to be on this forum and even if you find yourself back on it then you can always leave again. You may be forced to have dinner with a relative you dislike but that is not the case with anything on the internet

It’s funny because I have had to ‘opt’ out of many online forums/sites because of the amount of negative energy it instilled in me. I realized that these communities were no longer a place that I looked forward to going to and my stomach would churn whenever I visited. Just thinking of some of these places are starting to make my stomach a bit queasy.

We have access to more people and information than ever before in the history of mankind. We are afforded the opportunity to learn and share amongst billions across the globe. However, there is no criteria to do so which is both a blessing and a curse. We must be our own individual filter. Something can be an antidote for one and assisted suicide for another.

Sounds like you need to stop meditating and go out and find something you can be passionate about in the real world.

When you are following your Dharma, you will know it by the fulfillment it brings you.

And then you can go back and meditate again.

WELCOME BACK, dear! good to see you again.

My guess, that people usually leave the forum forever, because :

  1. get too involved in it and realize that they spend too much time here
  2. get attacked by some users, get upset and never come back
  3. realize that there is no need to be here…no new information, no helpful advise

Welcome back. Look for the diamonds in the rough.

Welcome back! I left the forum for a while too but for completely different reasons. There is a reason you are back and only you may find out why. I wish you the best on your journey:)

Thank you again for the warm words and wisdom.
