Dosha Diets

Hi there. Just wondering if anyone has tried a diet according to their dosha. Interested to know if it helped?

Yes! I made an Ayurveda Course, for me it contains so much truth that I kind of already knew but with Ayurveda still I got another perspective on it. Since then I really try to eat according to my dosha (I am mixed, not just one dosha). Also I try to live accordingly to the Ayurveda wisdom regarding sleeping times etc, but it is a bit hard sometimes – for example going to bed before 9 pm is not very practical in modern life

But I can certainly recommend this diet. Main thing first is to find a good Ayurveda doctor that can help you to identify your dosha(s)!

I did by recommendation of my last yoga teacher, I am Kapha (bigtime) but I no longer follow it. But then I was not given a lot of detail on how to follow the diet either, she was not an Ayurveda person, however she is now becoming one, maybe I will revisit this when she is finished training if she returns to my area

I can totally recommend this cookbook “Eat-Taste-Heal: An Ayurvedic Cookbook for Modern Living”, the recipes are easy to make and tasty! As well it contains some background information…
Ayurvedic kitchen is so yummy

I shall pick that book up.

Are there any books you would recommend on Ayurveda?
