Dripping at base of spine

I do a practice where I chant the chakra mantra for each chakra of the spine (ascending from muladhara to crown) and then will/visualize light from the crown chakra descending down the spine and cleansing/healing the chakras of the spine. When I get to the muladhara chakra, during the descent of the light, I feel like “something” is moving past it and through the anus and into the perineum area. This something i could best describe as having a physical sensation of watery thickness or being like chocolate syrup. Any ideas as to what this is/could be?

I also sometimes feel a watery sensation near the base of the spine that seems to move around the base of the spine area and into the anus - sometimes it is uncomfortable and feels like it is dripping from the base of the spine into and through the anus. When I try to feel what this is with my fingers, the sensation dissappears. I was wondering if this has something to do with the kundalini/chakras.

I do not have a guru and practice on my own. I plan on finding a teacher when I can afford one.

Understood and acceptable. However I would then have no way to know what you are experiencing as it is unguided and I do not know upon what foundation it is based. It is your experience brought about by you. I am not familiar with it and have not had a similar experience.

I find the subtle works (chakras, mudras, and pranayama) to be not so subtley engaged and thus their effects are all over the map.

I wish I could be more help. Perhaps one of our more experienced board members might provide you with more.
