hi iv been doing asthanga yoga for a year i have had pain from my elbow it has gotten much worse it travells up my arm into my neck and general everday tasks are becoming difficult. what should i do?

If you have and you are seeking supplemental information it would be helpful to know what has been shared with you already.
If you have not, that would be a sound first step since said teacher has contact hours with you and I do not.
Additionally, since this is your first post and since the Internet provides a cloak of anonymity, it would be helpful to know if you are 20 or 70, fit or sedentary, so on and so forth. The feedback has to be based specifically on you and since we don’t know you we rely on you to introduce us to you.
