Examinations for yoga teachers

Hi All, I have been looking for information on yoga teacher training courses - not to become a teacher (think that I’m not quite ready yet) - but only to dive deeper and learn more. But it seems to me that the 200hr and 500 hr courses commonly offered are just training for a number of hours but there isn’t any examination at the end of the course to test whether the student (i.e. teacher-to-be) is proficient enough in his/her skills and knowledge? Am I correct in my understanding? If so, or in other words , does that mean a “certified yoga teacher” is only certified based on the number of hours of training he/she received, but no specific measurable standards of his/her level of competency as a yoga probationer?

I’m in teacher training now set to graduate in June. It’s the 200 hour. We have enormous amounts to learn and their is a examination at the end of the course in which you have to apply your knowledge not multiple choice. That test is 80% of our grade. We also have a practicum in which we teach a sequence to the class and get graded on that as well.

I would be worried about a school that has no examination.
