Extremely New to Yoga

Hi everyone! So I had just joined this forum today, and yesterday I had googled yoga, many different sites came up but one with about an 30 minute session caught my eye, I’m only 17 years old, I do workout everyday but I felt that I really don’t understand yoga, or its benefits, but Is there anyway someone of this forum could give me a solid routine to do? One that will start me off everyday?

I appreciate anyone who reads this and takes the time to reply, means a lot to me,

Thanks,

Shane.

Learn the Sun Salutation sequence (in depth)

do it for a while

and then go from there.

Thanks so much.

The best way Shane is to join up for a Yoga class. Would take you eight to ten months to start to understand the nuances.

i have been doing yoga for 5 months now and recently looked at a Sun Salutation sequence and tried to do it but i am just still too inflexible to even try these movements.

its very hard to do the Uttanasana and Flat Back correctly to move on to the next steps.

If you are inflexible like me when i started yoga i recommend you to try out this video - amazon.com/Yoga-Class-Flexibility-Fitness-Relaxation/dp/B000NTMI9Y

i could do all the poses on day one, sure they were hard but eventually, after 5 months, im feeling much more flexible and soon i will try the Ashtanga Poses.
