Dear Friends,
Hi, I’m new of this forum, I live in Italy and I tried many times to do yoga. I learned yoga from a book of Andr? Van Lysebeth. Unfortunately, each time I have tried to start it I had give up due to a skin reaction on the front. I feel a heat under mi skin after the yoga session and during the day. It cause me painful tingling and a lot of pimples. What can be? if I persist, the situation goes badly else if i give up in 4/5 days becomes normal.
Anyone can help me or has this problem?
Thanks and best regards
Cosimo
Could you outline the practice you are doing please?
Welcome to the forum!!
Yep, more info would be good. I had a similar reaction on my thighs before I noticed it wasn’t smart for me to do Padmasana yet (it was one of the clues; this was before I figured out teachers are important).
So I wonder if your skin is reacting quite locally or across the entire front of your body. (in which case you may need to wash or replace your mat.)
Thanks for the reply,
The asana session is the follow:
- Sarvangasana
- Halasana
- Matsyasana
- Bhujangasana
- Salabhasana
- Shirshasana
- Savasana (relaxation)
I’m 1,88 cm tall and my wheight is about 95 kg, I don’t have any healt problem.
The same problem,(but less strong) comes when I have started a pratice similar the Trascendental Meditation, it’s very good and make me quite, but it do the same reaction. My teacher said that probably is due to the stress elimination, but if I start again the yoga pratice it reappears again.
Thank for your replys, hope to solve this problem with your help.
Cosimo
Sorry for my English, for front I don’t mean the front of the body, but the front of the head. I have found the term in the dictionary hope you have undersand.

sei riuscito a venire a capo?
Hey , the information given is really helpful. Thanks a lot.
Gagandeep Kaur
written in Indian language i don’t know what’s that , mind to rewrite it to English ?
joga yuggler or cosimo – yes, a translation into English is eagerly awaited. (That’s Italian, right?)
or we could try it piecemeal :
capo = head
essere = you try
sequenza di asana = asanas sequence
That’s about far as I can get confidently with my college French and grammar-school Latin.
do you sweat a lot during practice?
I’ll consider this more carefully.
Thank you Cosimo.
I have found the solution of the problem (I hope) with a modify to my asanas sequence.
The exercise that cause me this reaction (it’s not due to the sweat) is Sarvangasana, if I replace it with Shirshasana the reaction is less strong than before. During the meditation I can feel in the center of the head a sensation like a beat. I’ll open soon a website for check together other peoples, all the advantages that a yoga pratice can do.
Thanks to all.
Best Regards
Cosimo
Where are you practicing your yoga? On a mat? Rug? Might you be having an allergic reaction to your practice surface?
I had written (in italian sorry)
asking if he’d worked out what the problem was and
that it could be the mat especially if it was made of a sinthetic material
it’s a pretty regular asana sequence, and that I’ve also got the book by van lysebeth, I found it very good, an english version of at least the first of his books is available.
then: that perhaps I’d try an even simpler sequence without inversions
for example pavanamuktanasana, matsyasasa, paschimottanasa, ustra-asana, ardha-matsyendrasana, dharmikasana, shavasana.
thanks for the translation joga

If you are perspiring during practice and not showering soon afterwards, you may get pimples or clogged pores. This happens with me as well.
No, as I had replied by pm to joga yuggler is not due to sweating or the material of the surface. I have change my asanas sequence and I found that sarvangasana with his strong compression makes me this reaction, i have changed it with shirshasana and it seems better.
