Well, not really a religion thread - but definitely a religious experience. This was taken about an hour and a bit from my house.
I want to be there! How very beautiful and magnificent. The artistry of the Divine at its best.
Thanks for posting these. You should frame them Flex.
Very grim, reminds me of the white witches abode in Narnia lol
Then again I love nature in all it form

Yes. Those photos were taken in colour. Not much of it there, but the silvery light was grand.
As much as I dislike the cold, there is such beauty to be found in winter. I love the shades of blues, grays.
What a breath of fresh air flexpenguin
Beautiful

Near the Rocky Mountains. That snow only lasted the day. It was 20 degrees today and sunny. Where are my golf clubs?
You have such an artist’s eye; this is obvious in your lovely paintings and photos.
Nice to know too that you and I share the Rocky Mountains as our home, with just a little matter of a difference in longitude.
Nichole
not that it matters…but i think you meant “latitude.”
I’ll soon be in the beautiful state of Colorado and am looking forward to it.

(FP: please pardon the sidetrack to your lovely thread)
thomas, it does matter to me, so thank you i did mean latitude, but when i typed it, the north and south of it cued me to longitude for some reason. even after you mentioned it, i was still stuck on longitude. my husband had to explain it to me…twice, which gave us both a laugh. i think there should be no posting for me after 8:00pm from now on!
i hope that you enjoy your visit to colorado.
FP, it is beautiful. I last saw snow, and only a little of it, in 1981 when I was 11. It doesn’t snow in the area of SA where I live. One day perhaps I might move to the colder areas of SA where it does snow in winter in SA.
O, my heart long for such cold beauty as expressed in your pics!
Ahh Pandara, no snow since 1981, I will send you some;-)
Thanks Kareng, but you know it will melt, even in winter where I live now. In 1981 Iived in a colder and much higher part of SA where it can snow, where i live now it is simply too hot. Max temperatures in summer 28?C - 38?C and winter 15?C - 21?C. Snow will never last here! But thanks for the good gesture.
